A few years ago, BuiltCold was a simple application on top of EC3, designed to help federal agencies find compliant EPDs. Since then, it's been incredible to see the growth of clean construction initiatives despite the headwinds. As that work has grown, so has our toolset and our need to better tell the story of how we support it.
That's what the new BuiltCold website is built to do, and it's live today.
Whether you're at an agency standing up a program, a project team working through compliance, or a tech partner scoping an integration, the site has something for you.
01Program Directory
Our new website introduces the Program Directory: a centralized, browsable reference covering 31 low-carbon materials programs across 12 states. Agencies can review active, pending, and proposed programs to inform their own work, drawing on examples from across the country.
The directory is a free resource meant to complement the Carbon Leadership Forum's policy map, which remains the best high-level view of the policy landscape. Where CLF gives you the shape of the field, the Program Directory will get into the weeds: the operational nuts and bolts and practical decisions agencies face when moving a program from policy to practice. The listings view is the start. Dedicated profile pages with tactical program details are coming over the next few weeks.
To add your program or update an existing entry, email us at partner@builtcold.com.
02From policy to practice
One of the things we're most excited about with the revamped site is that it does a much better job explaining BuiltCold's two products. Each plays a distinct role in helping agencies move from policy design to program implementation faster, more effectively, and at a lower cost.

Wherever your agency is on the journey, the Get Access page is the place to start a conversation.
05An ecosystem enabler
The embodied carbon ecosystem is expanding fast, and agencies sit at the center of it. BuiltCold connects the dots between the data, tools, and workflows already in motion. We integrate EPD libraries like EC3, manufacturer-reported data, and LCA tools so compliance lives inside the processes jurisdictions are already running.
Come see how the pieces fit together.
A Note of Thanks
Thank you to the agencies and construction teams who have worked with us over the years to simplify low-carbon compliance for all parties involved. The rest of the year has some major announcements ahead, and we can't wait to share them with you.
